Yup, you've heard it right! Toshiba is getting into the tablet business. They are starting their lineup with a beautiful 10.1-inch Android tablet called the "Thrive". This device does everything you'd expect from the from the latest tablet and more. The Thrive fixes many of the issues that comes with other tablets, such as Samsung's lack of HDMI and sdcard reader. Although it can't replace the traditional laptop and/or smartphone, it takes the best of both worlds and puts them together.

The tablet media player is capable of playing 1080p video, flash, and music using stereo speakers enhanced by Toshiba's sound enhancement program. Using the HDMI port, you can watch your favorite videos on LED and HD TVs. With the handy Adaptive Display technology, the device allows you view the screen from every angle and even in sunlight. The removable back plate can be swapped with a different color for $20 each (green, orange, purple, blue, pink, silver, or plain old black). 


The Thrive is available in three versions : 8GB($429), 16GB($479), and 32GB($579). The Thrive will be in stores around July 10.
